Log in to myconneCT
Locate your Sales & Use tax account on the Summary tab
Enter the listed Filing Frequency on the Return tile within your Sales & Use tax account tile on the Summary tab
One of the following validation methods is required:
Sales TAx Account ID: Enter the 10-digit “Account ID” listed on the Account tile (format: 1234567890)
Note: This is different than the 12-digit “CT Registration No”. Please be sure to provide the 10-digit Account ID.
Recent Tax Payment:
From the home page in your myconneCT account, click the More… menu tab
Click Manage Payments & Returns
Select Sales & Use from the Accounts dropdown
Select Payments and Posted from the two Show dropdowns
Then copy the exact amount for the most recently submitted payment
Letter ID: Provide a Letter ID from a physical letter you have received from Connecticut (format: L1234567890)
Letter IDs are located in the header of official correspondence from the Connecticut Department of Revenue. The ID begins with an "L" followed by a 10-digit number.
Effective Registration Date (Required for First Return Filing only)
Your effective registration date can be found in the mailed registration confirmation documents for your Sales & Use tax account.
Tip: it will fall within the period covered by our first return available in the myconneCT account.
If you do not have a letter containing your Effective Registraton Date, you can message the Connecticut DRS online to request it.
From the home page in your myconneCT account, click the More… menu tab
Click Send a Message in the Correspondence section
Click your Sales & Use tax account
Click the first (oldest) return period
Click Other
Template Subject: “Effective Date of Registration Confirmation”
Template Message: “Can you please confirm the effective registration date for this sales and use tax account?”
*Note: then regularly login to check for a response message.
